Quran

وَإِنَّهُمْ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ

And indeed they were the best of the chosen ones in Our site.

وَٱذْكُرْ إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ وَكُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ

And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Ezekiel. They were amongst the best.

هَـٰذَا ذِكْرٌ وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍ

This is only a reminder. Indeed the god-fearing ones have deserved the best abode.

جَنَّـٰتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَبْوَٰبُ

Gardens of Eden with their gates wide open to them.

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَـٰكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَشَرَابٍ

They relax therein, where they will have plenty of fruits and drink.

وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ

And beside them will be the most beautiful spouses, perfectly matched.

هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ

This is what is promised to them on the Day of Reckoning.

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهُۥ مِن نَّفَادٍ

Indeed this is Our provision that never ends.

هَـٰذَا وَإِنَّ لِلطَّـٰغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَـَٔابٍ

On the other hand, for the rebels, there is indeed the worst abode.

جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ

They enter Gehenna, what a miserable abode.

هَـٰذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ

On the top of this, they taste hellish drink and pus.

وَءَاخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجٌ

And other things, just as bad.

هَـٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ مَّعَكُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِهِمْ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا۟ ٱلنَّارِ

Here is another wave entering with you. There is no welcoming ceremony for them. Surely, they all burn in Hell together.

قَالُوا۟ بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِكُمْ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرَارُ

They said; you are not welcome here. You had certain advantages over us. What a miserable abode.

قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِى ٱلنَّارِ

They said, our Lord, those who brought this upon us; double their suffering in Hell.

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ

And they also said, why do we not see those people whom we considered evil?

أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ

We used to ridicule them and looked down upon them.

إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ ٱلنَّارِ

It is the absolute truth that the dwellers of Hell always feud with one another.

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرٌ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ

Say; I am only a warner. There is no god except God, The One, The Supreme.

رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ

Lord of the vacua and matter and everything between them, The Almighty, The All Forgiver.

قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِيمٌ

Say; here is awesome news –

أَنتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ

-that you are ignoring.

مَا كَانَ لِىَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۭ بِٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ

I have no knowledge the high society ever feuded.

إِن يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ إِلَّآ أَنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

I am only inspired that I am indeed a clear warner.

إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَـٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّن طِينٍ

When your Lord said to the angels, I am creating a human being from mud,-

فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ

-and once I perfect him and blow into him from My Spirit, you shall then honor him.

فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ

And so did the angels honor him, all of them,-

إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ ٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

-except Iblis who was arrogant and unfaithful.

قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ

He said, O Iblis, what prevented you from honoring the one whom I created with My hand? Are you too arrogant or are you too exalted?

قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍ

He said; I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from mud.

قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ

He said, then get out of here, for you are rejected.

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ

And My damnation shall follow you until the Day of Faith.

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ

He said, Lord, respite me until the Day of Resurrection.

قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ

He said; you have indeed a respite.

إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ

Until the day with a specific time.

قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

He said, I swear by your majesty that I will entice them all.

إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

Except your servants who are purely devoted to You.

قَالَ فَٱلْحَقُّ وَٱلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ

He said, by the truth and the truth is what I only utter –

لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

-I shall fill Gehenna with you and all those who follow you.

قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ

Say, I am not asking you for any wage and I am not an imposter.

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

This is a reminder for all the people.

وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعْدَ حِينٍۭ

And you will surely learn of its news after a while.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of God; The All-Gracious, The All-Merciful.

تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

Revelation of the scripture is from God, The Almighty, The All Wise.

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَٱعْبُدِ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصًا لَّهُ ٱلدِّينَ

We have indeed revealed to you the scripture truthfully, therefore, worship God and devote the religion purely to Him.

أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْخَالِصُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ زُلْفَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِى مَا هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَنْ هُوَ كَـٰذِبٌ كَفَّارٌ

Absolutely the religion shall be purely devoted to God. As for those who take lords besides Him, they say we only worship them in order to get closer to God, they are in good positions, indeed God will judge amongst them regarding their disputes. Surely, God does not guide those who are liars, unfaithful.

لَّوْ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا لَّٱصْطَفَىٰ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ

If God willed, He could have chosen a son from amongst His creation. Be He glorified, He is God, The One, The Supreme.

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ يُكَوِّرُ ٱلَّيْلَ عَلَى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ ٱلنَّهَارَ عَلَى ٱلَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى أَلَا هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ

He created the vacua and matter truthfully, He rolls the night over the day and rolls the day over the night, and He has subdued the sun and the moon, each floating for a specific interim. Absolutely, He is The Almighty, The All Forgiving.

خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ثَمَـٰنِيَةَ أَزْوَٰجٍ يَخْلُقُكُمْ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْ خَلْقًا مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَلْقٍ فِى ظُلُمَـٰتٍ ثَلَـٰثٍ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ

He created all of you from a single soul, and made from her, her mate and He sent down for you the livestock in eight pairs. He creates you in your mothers’ bellies, creation after creation in three stages of darkness. Such is God your Lord, all kingships belong to Him. There is no god except He. How can you then deviate?

إِن تَكْفُرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِىٌّ عَنكُمْ وَلَا يَرْضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ ٱلْكُفْرَ وَإِن تَشْكُرُوا۟ يَرْضَهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

If you disbelieve, God is in no need of you, but He is not pleased when His servants disbelieve. However, when you are appreciative, He is pleased with you. No one carries the sin of another. Finally to your Lord is your return and He will inform you of everything you have done. Surely He fully knows the innermost thoughts.
