Verse 155

وَٱخْتَارَ مُوسَىٰ قَوْمَهُۥ سَبْعِينَ رَجُلًا لِّمِيقَـٰتِنَا فَلَمَّآ أَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلرَّجْفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوْ شِئْتَ أَهْلَكْتَهُم مِّن قَبْلُ وَإِيَّـٰىَ أَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَّآ إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا فِتْنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَهْدِى مَن تَشَآءُ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْغَـٰفِرِينَ

And Moses chose seventy men from among his people to have an audience with Us. Then once the quake shook them, He said, Lord, had You willed, You could have annihilated them and me in the past. Will You annihilate us because of what the foolish ones amongst us did? This is Your test, by which You mislead whomever You will and guide whomever You will. You are Our Lord, therefore, forgive us and have mercy upon us and you are the best forgiver.
