بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God; The All-Gracious, The All-Merciful.
أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
You keep on hoarding-
حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ
-until you are put in the graves.
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Absolutely, you will soon find out.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Then again, you will soon find out.
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ
Absolutely, if you only knew with a knowledge of certainty.
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ
You will surely see the Inferno.
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ
You will then see it with an eye of certainty.
ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
You will then on that day be questioned about the blessings you had.
