بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God; The All-Gracious, The All-Merciful.
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
By the dispatched, one after another-
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
-which consequently stir up the winds.
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
And scatter things all over.
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
Then separate things from one-another.
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
Then by the deliverers of the reminder.
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
Be it a pardon or a warning.
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
Most assuredly what is promised must come to pass.
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
Then when the stars extinguish.
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
And when the vacuum ruptures.
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
And when the mountains are blown away.
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
And when the messengers are recalled.
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
On which day is their interim up?
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
The day of decision.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
And what is your understanding of the day of decision?
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the rejecters on that day.
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Did We not annihilate the early generations?
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
Then We had others follow them.
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
We thus deal with the guilty.
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
Did We not create you from a lowly liquid-
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
-which We then placed in a secure repository-
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
-for a predetermined period?
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
We measured it exactly, for We are in full control.
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
Did We not make the land a sustainer?
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
For both the living as well as the dead?
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
And made therein mountains standing tall, and provided for you fresh water.
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Go to what you used to reject.
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
Go to a shade of three different kinds.
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
Not really a shade, and of no use against the searing flames.
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
Indeed it throws out sparks as big as castles.
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
As indeed it is like the color of yellow camels.
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
This will be a day when they will not be able to speak.
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
And they will not be allowed to offer excuses.
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
This is the day of decision; We have summoned you as well as the previous generations.
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
Therefore, if you have a scheme, go ahead and use it.
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be amid shades and springs.
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
And the fruits that they desire.
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Eat and drink because of your deeds.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
We thus indeed reward the righteous.
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
As for you proven guilty, eat and enjoy for a little while.
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
And when they were told to bow down, they refused to bow down.
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
